RHS Garden Harlow Carr provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of outdoor cinema. The main borders provide the ideal location to pull up a chair and blanket and enjoy a film.

Very much part of the Yorkshire countryside, Harlow Carr is a delight in every season.

Sitting in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Harlow Carr offers a variety of growing landscapes, from running and still water, to woodland and wildflower meadows. Highlights of the 58 acre garden include the lavish Main Borders, bursting with generous prairie-style planting, and the lush, moisture-loving plants around Streamside.

This is an outdoor performance, please bring a chair or rug with you as there is no formal seating and please dress for the weather.



On Foot

A lovely walk runs from Valley Gardens in Harrogate, up through the Pine Woods to RHS Garden Harlow Car. The walk takes approximately an hour at a leisurely pace.

By Road

RHS Garden Harlow Carr is situated on Crag Lane, off Otley Road (B6162) about a mile and a half from the centre of Harrogate.

Cycle racks are available at the gardens.


There is ample parking, including disabled and parent and child near to the garden entrance. Parking is free.


On Site Access

The gardens and buildings are accessible, however, please note that this is a sloping site which, in some areas, is quite steep. Some path surfaces may be difficult, for example, pebbles. Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire is available, hires may require reservations in advance of your visit.

Toilets are located in the garden and entrance on arrival to the garden, these include disabled access.



Outdoor Screenings

Screenings will still go ahead in inclement weather conditions and are never cancelled more than 12 hours ahead of the screening time as the weather can change rapidly.
