Quadrophenia

Quadrophenia (15)

25th July

Due to technical difficulties we have had to cancel this screening of Quadrophenia at Bolsover Castle. The rest of the weekend’s screenings will go ahead as advertised. Apologies for any inconvenience. All customers who have booked will be contacted and given refunds or transferred to another screening of their choice.

Marking the 40th Anniversary of this Mod classic loosely based on The Who’s 1973 rock opera of the same name.

Phil Daniels stars as Jimmy Cooper who takes solace from his drudgery postal job as a member of the Mods, a sharply dressed gang constantly at odds with their rivals, the Rockers. When the Mods and Rockers clash in the coastal town of Brighton, it leads to both trouble and an encounter with the lovely Steph (Leslie Ash). Jimmy, who aspires to be like Mod leader Ace Face (Sting), becomes even more disillusioned when he discovers that Ace Face’s life isn’t as rebellious as it appears.

This screening is part of Film Feels: Obsession, a UK-wide cinema season, supported by the National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network. Explore all films and events at www.filmfeels.co.uk

Inspired by the film, come and see the Scooter Club meet-up, with scooters from local clubs that will present at the screening.
