Batman returns to Wollaton Hall

The Dark Knight Rises is one of our most popular films, and we’re thrilled to bring it back once more to Wollaton Hall in Nottingham – aka Wayne Manor in the film.

A number of scenes were filmed in the grounds and hall in 2011. A graveyard was constructed in the grounds, and some refurbishments were made to the hall to create the perfect ‘Wayne Manor’.

Members of the cast and crew of the film descended on Wollaton Hall, including Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, and some lucky Nottingham residents got the chance to be extras.

Since the film was released, visitors to Wollaton Hall have increased by more than 100,000, and fans have been flocking to annual outdoor screenings of The Dark Knight Rises ever since.

Why not come along dressed as the Caped Crusader – and keep your eye out for bats on the night!

The Dark Knight Rises screens over August Bank Holiday on Sunday 26th August. Tickets are now on sale.
